Gentle Healing - Not Just for Students

Most people have an idea of what would help them to reduce the stress in their lives; but few people actually take the time to do anything about it. One reason is time and the other is finances. As we head into, what the news media says is a recession, it is more important than ever for all of us to take time to take care of ourselves. When you find yourself saying “I just can’t”, ask yourself if you are really saying “I feel too guilty.” Many of us feel too guilty to take care of ourselves during financially stressful times. What we need to remember is that if we do not take care of ourselves, we cannot truly be there for our loved ones. Remember the rules on an airplane. You are told that in the case of an emergency; please put your oxygen mask on before helping your loved ones. Without your oxygen, how can you save and support your loved ones? So where do you find your oxygen? Where do you find the time and place to rejuvenate yourself in order to continue to perform all of the necessary, everyday activities that are required to support yourself and your loved ones?

What if you could have a few moments to escape and rejuvenate? What if you go somewhere, have a cup of tea and relax in a room away from all of the stress at work and home? A place where you could feel completely relaxed and it didn’t cost you a dime. An escape as free as the oxygen you breathe everyday in order to survive. A place of “Healing Energy” designed for anyone and everyone, no matter what spiritual or religious background you embrace. A place where you could simply relax, read a book, watch an inspirational movie or take time to meditate or pray. We think we have the answer. As “Gentle Healing Wellness Spa” approaches its seven year anniversary, a crucial crossroad for any business, we have decided that instead of celebrating with a party, we would celebrate our community! A brand new building has recently opened on Gentle Healing’s existing property, right off of Route 130 in Cranbury, NJ. An educational and healing center designed to give back to the community for all of their support in helping us create a successful business.

This new 5500 square foot facility holds a beautiful room called “The Quiet Room”. This room is available to the community at no charge. The room houses an extensive lending library with a variety of books to feed the mind and soul, including information about the chakras, meditation, self awareness, love stories, dealing with illness, anatomy and physiology and so much more. There is a beautiful alter, celebrating world religions and beliefs in which you may choose to sit, meditate, pray or just focus on the energies of these many symbols while allowing a feeling of peace to embrace your spirit. Inspirational movies are also available, ranging in durations from 5 minutes to an hour. All the materials in the “Quite Room” are available free of charge to use during your visit or to borrow for further exploration at home. Make your stay complete with a complimentary cup of tea to enjoy while you relax and choose the form of inspiration, information or rejuvenation that meets your needs for the day.

Coming this fall will be a beautiful outdoor Labyrinth open to the public all year long. Designed for our guests to slowly walk while reflecting, meditating or releasing stress and tension; it will assist you in finding clarity, answers to your life’s questions and inner peace. The new labyrinth will be 32 feet round and handicap accessible.

Upon entering our new facility, you will find a mural that reads, “Who looks outside, dreams, who looks inside, awakes”. – Carl Jung. Donda, the owner of “Gentle Healing” is not only someone who admires the work of Carl Jung, but has studied world religions and philosophy. One lesson that has most inspired her in all her years of study is a simple truth: “all things that are not shared are wasted.” Please consider this your open invitation to enter the Gentle Healing Educational Center, enjoy the “The Quite Room”, walk the labyrinth, have a cup of tea and know that you are in a place where the choice of new awakenings is always a possibility.

We have recently released the new website for Gentle Healing School of Massage and Educational Center. We are excited to showcase the new look for the site that is designed to be appealing as well as informative about the holistic field and how “Gentle Healing” wants to guide you through your body, mind, and spirit tranformation.

“Gentle Healing” not only offers courses for individuals to gain their Certification in Massage Therapy, but courses can also be taken for those interested in learning about specific areas in the holistic field. Also, if you’re just looking for a new exciting activity to add to your life “Gentle Healing” may have it – and if we don’t – tell us and we will do what ever we can to get it.

Currently, “Gentle Healing” is in the process of expanding the school with the addition of a 5500 square foot Educational Center and meditation labyrinth. Upon completion of this building, we will begin to offer even more courses including yoga, belly dancing, couples massage lessons, Qi Gong, motivational classes, nutrition and fitness courses, and many others. We are eager to be a conduit involved in the process of teaching and seeing the bodies, minds, and spirits of our guests transform as they become more aware of themselves and who they are.

Be sure to take the opportunity to visit our website and look at the enlightening courses that are currently offered and that will soon be offered. Check back often with us to see the new courses as they are being added, the courses that are offered, or simply to share your “Gentle Healing” experience.
